What an exciting round of HSKS this has been! There have been so many new twists and turns. It has truly kept me and the prefects on our toes. I hope that you all enjoyed the last round. I wanted to do it a little bit different so that I wouldn't be too predictable lol

I will total up the points and have a final count for you all on Monday, as well as the award trophy for Gryffindor House.

Sorry to have taken so long to post these. It was a rather busy day once the kiddos got home.
I'm going to give you the scores for Quidditch, but won't be able to update the cumulative scores until tomorrow because I don't have the most up-to-date scores on my laptop. I'm at work at the moment. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to this as soon as I get home tomorrow.

Congratulations goes to Gryffindor and Lily Durmstrang for finding the Snitch during round 2!! I'll have stats for you later today.

Quidditch Reminder

Hey, everyone! This is just a reminder that even though the dates say that Quidditch doesn't end until Saturday once the Snitch is found the game is over. The only reason I put ends dates is because we've had a few instances where it took days for the Snitch to be found. So, I had to put an end date, move the Snitch around a little and then have everyone hunt again.

Just like in the movie once the Snitch is found the game ends, so you should answer the trivia questions before the Snitch is released. I will not count any questions that are answered after the Snitch has been found.

63 students and counting!
This is the most students we've ever had at Hogwarts! Again, thanks to those that have really kicked up the zeal by spreading the excitement around.

Quidditch

1st Round ~ January 30th - February 4th
2nd Round ~ February 18th - February 23rd
3rd Round ~ March 12th - March 17th

Quidditch is the highlight of the HSKS swap and one of the main activities that sets us apart from other swaps. During this swap there will be 3 rounds of Quidditch. When Quidditch begins a set of 10 trivia questions will be posted along with a 5-picture scavenger hunt.
Scores are reflected by the percentage of people in each House that participate in the trivia with bonus points awarded for 100% House participation. The points are as follows:

HSKS Logo ~ 5 pts.
Trivia ~ 25 pts.
Picture Scavenger Hunt ~ 5 pts.
Finding the Snitch ~ 150 House points
100% participation ~ 50 House Points

Prizes are awarded to those that find the Snitch and this year I will have the person donating the prize mail the prize directly to the winner.

Searching Swap Members Blogs for the Snitch
When it comes time to search for the Snitch you will each receive an email to your secret email account containing ALL the links to swap members blogs. Those that have a character blog will be posting information on their blogs, so those will be the urls listed as well as actual blogs for those that do not have character blogs. The Snitch will not be located in the comments section, but on some other page within the blog.
